The Tarawera Ultra-Trail by UTMB is an esteemed series of trail running races located in the scenic landscapes of New Zealand. Every February, athletes gather in the vibrant town of Rotorua on the North Island to participate in this exhilarating event, which first launched in 2009. As an integral part of the UTMB World Series since 2021, the race not only offers participants a thrilling challenge but also provides them with opportunities to earn running stones entitling them to qualify for the prestigious UTMB World Series Finals at the Ultra Trail du Mont-Blanc.
