Austin Marathon Announces Partnership with Bare Performance Nutrition for Race Day Fueling

The Austin Marathon, along with its Half Marathon and 5K events, has officially partnered with Bare Performance Nutrition (BPN) to serve as the official on-course hydration and gel provider for the upcoming marathon scheduled for February 16, 2025. This collaboration aims to deliver exceptional hydration and nutritional support to racers, enhancing their experience and performance during the event.

During the Austin Marathon, participants will have access to BPN’s high-quality electrolytes at all 22 aid stations along the race route. These specially formulated electrolytes are designed to keep runners hydrated and maintain optimal performance. In addition to hydration, BPN will provide its Go Gels at designated energy zones throughout the course, ensuring racers have the necessary fuel to achieve their race day objectives.

Nick Bare, Founder and CEO of BPN, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, noting the significant impact that the Austin Marathon has had on his life. “The Austin Marathon was the first 26.2 mile race that I ever did. It changed my life,” he stated. Bare emphasized his deep connection to the Austin community and the importance of supporting local athletes through BPN’s products. This partnership encapsulates BPN’s commitment to empowering runners in Austin to “GO ONE MORE®” on race day.

Both BPN and the Austin Marathon are dedicated to keeping runners engaged and prepared in the lead-up to the event. Throughout the year, they will collaborate on various outreach initiatives and pre-race events, enhancing the support and resources available for participants. This year-long engagement aims to cultivate a vibrant community atmosphere leading into race day.

Jack Murray, the Owner of the Austin Marathon, shared his excitement about the collaboration, stating, “We are committed to offering our runners the best possible support, and partnering with Bare Performance Nutrition allows us to elevate the on-course experience.” He further highlighted the unique Austin spirit that BPN brings to the race, enhancing the special RUN AUSTIN® energy that participants look forward to.

Kicking off on Presidents Day Weekend, the Austin Marathon event will feature a shakeout run and a two-day Health and Fitness Expo at the Palmer Events Center on February 14 and 15. The main event will see runners traverse the iconic streets of Austin, culminating in a finish in front of the state capitol building. Participants will also receive a unique belt buckle finisher medal, adding to the allure of completing the race.

Since its inception in 1992, the Ascension Seton Austin Marathon® has grown into a world-class event, attracting participants from all around the globe. With its scenic route stretched across diverse neighborhoods of Austin, the marathon is a true celebration of community and athleticism. It also supports various non-profit organizations, raising substantial funds each year. For those interested in joining this unforgettable running experience, registration is open online for all event distances.

As Bare Performance Nutrition continues to supply elite sports nutrition products, their collaboration with the Austin Marathon promises to elevate the race day experience for thousands of runners. Both organizations share a commitment to fostering a strong and supportive community among athletes in the Austin area, aligning perfectly with their vision of promoting health, performance, and community engagement.
